I agree, they are very no frills when it comes to extras and not very appealing at first sight. I plan to keep my account at scottrade and just make a small deposit at Tradeking to see if it is worth looking further into or best left alone. I will admit the idea of saving 29.3% on my commissions is all that is sparking my interest with them right now. That comes out to a couple thousand dollars a year considering my average number of trades per day.

I do all my charts through stockcharts as scottrades charts suck as well IMO and all of my research is done at other sights that are free.

As for Scottrade, they aren't terrible, I can only remember a couple times like this morning where they were having problems. Just always seems to happen when I have something running. I tend to think that every place has it own problems, just have to find one that you can live with.
