This may be a very calculated tactic on Klepfiz' part (sorry if I'm spelling his name wrong). Think about it -- create the demand overnight to force the labels' hands -- but also, it's in the labels' interest because it takes the monopoly away from I-tunes and creates a marketplace with competition. That, along with the consumer and artist demand noted by a previous poster, and voila -- He just did a "hostile industry entry" because he's taking into account the interests of all parties and has engineered an offering that's too good to pass up for everyone. So now the jockying begins and if there's any sniff of that, look out, kaboom. Otherwise, this whole thing could be a whacked out scam, and it'll go down in flames again. No one knows.
