NEW YORK, Jan 22 (Reuters) - Short interest jumped 8.7
percent on the New York Stock Exchange in mid-January, rising
to an all-time high, the exchange said on Tuesday, as short
sellers sought to take advantage of a global sell-off in
stocks.
