60 is a pretty bold prediction on the VIX. It has not been above the 45 area since the 1987 crash. Even with the triangle target of 48 on the VIX, it will take something like the assination of Brittney Spears and Bill Clinton leaving Hillary to wed Barak Obama to get the VIX that high.
