Well here's my thought on the P&D situation.

If someone is paying for a newsletter or service that mentions stocks to buy, why should the guy who isn't paying get the same info, even if it's 20 minutes later? Once that stock is put out in the open and it has a target price with it, you can almost figure that the target price will take longer to hit than usual becasue of all the people who jump in and then scalp it.

I've also seen where stocks are mentioned here and people who aren't members here and never post here run right over and post the exact same info on another board. Now I know we can't control what is posted everywhere but if the stock was never mentioned in public in the first place then maybe the scalpers might not get in till later when the privately mentioned stock has already started to move, which in return might allow it to actually hit the target sooner or with less resistance.

And besides, what's the actual benefit for people to post stocks on an open forum? Sure the "Thank You's" are great but i'd rather see a "members only" board where you had to pay to see what's posted and the usual cast of characters could still be like the Waltons, all under one roof without the bashers-scalpers.
