Speaking of Christmas...
Sat. I went to Barnes and Noble book store and they were having a 75% off sale on their Christmas items.
I selected a 3D Nativity Advent Calendar.
I brought it home and worked on it for I bet two hrs. First thing I did was change it from a "high church" to a "low church" nativity scene. In other words I cut the halo's off Marys and Josephs heads. lol
Then I had to get rid of the Advent part as I don't want an Advent calendar. I want a paper nativity pop out scene. This makes me a proud owner of two paper nativity pop up scenes. Hmmmmm Does this now make me a collector of these? LOL
Your post reminded me... that I needed to finish up on the rest of the post I never got caught up on. I worked my way back, and from back to forward. Then I quit so I wouldn't get behind on the current post. As of today I'm caught up again on the board.
This month is Missions Month at my church. We had guest missionaries from South Sudan, and North Uganda. They were from Far Reaching Ministries.
The Lords Resistant Army over in Africa is EVIL! Men and women who were seated all around me were wiping tears from their eyes. (I all-ready knew and read about what he shared and showed on video from there, but didn't know the name of the army. Maybe it's L.O.R.A? for short?)
I didn't take that great of notes. Very sad. One thing he said shocked me, but then again not.
He said, 90% of the people who apply for missionaries to Uganda are women. Only 10% are men. The women don't last long. They grow weary in well doing, and explained why.
Also he said in the end times it talks about men will be lovers of pleasure. That's why the 90% applicant rate was from women, with only 10% being from men.
It's a VERY dangerous field to live on.
