I read an article the other day that based upon current conversion rates, it would take an area covered in solar panels the size of the UK to power the entire planets energy needs!

Yes that sounds like a lot, but we are talking 100% of the planets needs, which is a lot!

More realistically, any place that gets above average amount of sunlight per year could be covered in solar farms. That would be a sight to behold!
