I'm the one in church who calls out loud MARANATHA when it's appropriate and when we are finished.

The preacher looks around to see who said that. lol

You rebel! LOL!

At my church people aren't allowed to stand up. If they do an usher will come down and ask them to sit. I think? they feel that...that person is drawing attention to themselves by others looking at them and taking other's focus off worship when everyone else is sitting.

This really surprised me since I have read and heard your Preacher and know where you go to Church.

I think some stand and it's all an act. Yep.

But seems to me we should be concentrating on our worship to God and not let that bother us.

I do admit it is easier said then done sometimes when they stand up right in front of you and you were perfectly content sitting down.

Most small churches I've seen a few stand and before you know it almost all are up.

I want people to stand up because they feel it in them to, not because they feel if they don't they aren't good as the someone else. Not sure how to phrase that?

I do know somewhere there is scripture that talks about dancing, singing, an interactive time in worship I believe?

What bothers me is one large church I use to attend the worship leader use to constantly nag everyone to clap.

Back then I came very close to walking right up in front of 3k people sitting there to tell him to shut up.
Sunday after Sunday the same begging.

My hands were unable to clap.

Even if they could people need to feel it to do it.
Quit trying to force what you believe worship is on people. So I'm rambling now.

My preacher is hard of hearing. He doesn't like any one talking during his preaching because it breaks his concentration.

You know the best church I ever attended our Preacher use to ask questions sometimes during the service.
It was interactive.

He doesn't like any one talking (visiting) in the Sanctuary before church. He said once from the pulpit.

That one has me stumped. Don't get that at all.

Like I've told you before I love what short bit I've seen of your preacher and what you've told me. But these things are strange to me.
