Intel switched from ISO's to NQO's in the late 90's then from purely NQO's (Non Qualified Options) to a mix of NQO's and RSU's (Ristricted Stock Units) depending on employee pay grade. FWIW, most of the NQO's issued in 1999 and 2000 will expire worthless in the next two years. You got out while the getting was good.
