Harley, a few of us are responsible for that accumulation at the ask. When someone sells at the bid we usually hit the ask for 100 shares, mainly while this seller unloads. The spread is no fun right now. When the spread is smaller we will not peck at the ask so much.

BTW, I have mentioned on several occasions that the best time to buy is on the dips. Put in a limit order just above the current bid by a penny or two and wait for a sale.
