AMD "clarifies" Phenom processor shipments

The microprocessor company is fighting back against rumors of delays by issuing its own statement to press.

In its on-going roll-out of quad-core and triple-core processors, Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) sought to fight back against rumors of problems when it released late Friday a document clarifying launch dates for its various previously announced microprocessors.....

.... AMD reminded that it launched a performance-tunable “Black Edition” of the 9600 model in December for the enthusiast market, which added an additional quad-core product its Q4 roadmap. The 9600 Black Edition is available from major e-tailer sites. ....>>
