Well, there were a few things that took my hat off, but one of the most striking was how he describes msft giving out revenue guidance, selling puts on its own stock heavily afterwards and collecting the premium. Using this premium to brush up earning and beating analyst predictions, making the stock price rise and the put option expire.
This might be legal, but to my common sense it's not just insider trading, but also stock fraud, since it is not reported to the public. Many more examples he writes. Also how msft is the money giver to reuters and others. But what do you do if the economy is not going well or everybody is running law suits against msft? Speculate against your own stock?

Also intc, selling stocks not to raise cash for capital spending, but to brush up earnings in quarters they don't sell enough chips, to satisfy wall street, like in Q1 01. I wonder why we hear so little about that. Nobody seems to care. Anyway, I am always annoyed by intels balance sheets, looks like financial officers are still in kindergarten. Wonder why?

Take it easy.
