Gunmen attack ships off Nigeria, two injured: oil sources
Gunmen attacked four ships in the channel leading to the Bonny oil export terminal in southern Nigeria Wednesday, injuring two people, oil industry and security sources said.
"The attacks were carried out by 12 people -- two Nigerians were wounded, one in the stomach, the other in the genitals, and both are receiving treatment," one source said.
One of the ships belonged to or was operated by ExxonMobil and another by Addax Petroleum, the same source said.
The attack happened at buoy 61, off Bonny Channel, Nigeria's largest oil and gas export terminal.
