The claim on the SI AMD thread is that AMD can hoard opteron dice in a die bank, and process them as demand requires. It is hard to know how much excess production they have been able to squirrel away in the bank.

How stupid is that? Let's bank something that continuously decrease in value as it sits on a shelf and increases inventories to boot. When exactly were they banking these die in all the quarters they have been claiming to be production constrained?

Typical logic over there I suppose. I really should visit more for the entertainment value.
