ER Urgent Care Centers Benefits From FedEx Orange Bowl Game
9:30a ET January 9, 2008 (Market Wire)
ER Urgent Care Centers (PINKSHEETS: ERUC) has announced that it has experienced significant increases in patient count for the winter season. The most influential impact was during the week of the FedEx Orange Bowl Game. Located only two miles from the Dolphin stadium home of the Orange Bowl Game, the Ives Dairy Road clinic experienced record patient counts. The Hallandale ERUC also had record counts due to its proximity to the hotels where fans as well as players were staying. The impact to the South Florida market is over $174 million. "We have experienced a record winter season due to the inclement weather in the north. The Orange Bowl Game was an added benefit to an already successful season," said Jerry Miller, ERUC Founder. All the Florida clinics from Tampa south to Miami have had patient counts far above 2007. We hope that if any of our shareholders are in the South Florida area, they will feel free to stop in and say hello.
