My job in part, in another life at a large telcom company was to bring in chips and chip-sets to be evaluated by the R&D group. We would eventually buy a small quanitity for further study of maybe one out of dozen, or so we evaluated. Then maybe one out of ten would be designed into a product. It took us forever and when it wasn't an inductry standard, the odds were worse. Chipwa1
