"Black and Decker Kwikset has completed its initial roll out of the SmartScan biometric lock to selected Home Depot locations across America and Canada. Developed by Sequiam Biometrics and Kwikset, SmartScan is the world's first consumer lifestyle mass retail biometric deadbolt. The unit is currently available in several finishes, such as Venetian Bronze and Satin Nickel, depending on location. In Canadathe SmartScan has been introduced under the Weiser Lock brand.
