Why would a hedge fund manager spoon feed the masses that the company that all his own eggs and his investors eggs are sunk into is doing crappy?


Would anyone here care to verbally ponder how someone might benefit from providing information that could be damaging to a company's reputation and stock price?

If an entity stands to benefit by disseminating negative information then that is what you're going to be fed in my opinion.
