Here is the deal IMO: The FCPA investigation is a DIRECT result of the STPAG REQUESTING the DOJ/SEC investigate ERHC/OFFER. I am and always have been confident that the STPAG's report was done at the request (wink, wink) of Anadarko who was PO'ed that they lost out on Blk 4.

I don't feel that there are necessarily domestic US politicians involved here at all. I feel that the raid on the ERHC offices was done based on a "sealed" affidavit presented to a judge and the rest is just Big Bro doing his thing.
