Quantum Base to list on AIM with £5M IPO plan

Quantum Base CEO Tom Taylor joined Stephen Gunnion in the Proactive studio with more about the company’s upcoming listing on the AIM market and its breakthrough anti-counterfeiting technology. Quantum Base, founded in 2013 as a spin-out from Lancaster University, has developed an atomic fingerprint that offers 100% secure authentication of goods, scannable with any smartphone. “It tells you 100% if something is real or it's fake,” Taylor said, describing the technology as a major leap in the fight against counterfeiting. Taylor explained that the technology has applications across sectors including brand protection, pharmaceuticals, tax stamps, banknotes, passports and even aerospace parts. The firm is already working with clients globally—from North America to the Middle East—and targeting both commercial brands and government organisations. The IPO is expected to raise £5 million, with £4.70 million already committed and trading set to begin on Friday under the ticker QUBE. The retail offer remains open. “We really want to grow… AIM really helps us grow,” Taylor said, noting the listing will support product development and expansion into new verticals. Key uses of the funds will include expanding Quantum Base’s commercial team and scaling its product reach into global markets. St George Mining unveils major JORC resource

St George Mining Ltd executive chairman John Prineas talked with Proactive about the company's newly announced maiden JORC resource, which he says could be among the world’s most significant niobium and rare earth deposits. Prineas said the deposit features over 500 intercepts of high-grade mineralisation and boasts a rare combination of high grades and shallow mineralisation starting at surface, supporting an open pit development. “We think, possibly the second highest niobium deposit in terms of grade and, probably one of the highest rare earth deposits,” he told Proactive. He confirmed the company has already seen interest from industry players, with some expressing interest in potential partnerships and even mergers. The resource was released following St George’s acquisition of the project in late February, and the company has committed to a drill program starting in the coming weeks. According to Prineas, this program could potentially double the existing resource. In Brazil, St George has assembled an experienced in-country team and engaged a global EPC contractor to progress mine development. Nostra Terra Oil and Gas CEO on Fouke field growth plans, 5,000 barrels a day target

Nostra Terra Oil and Gas Company PLC CEO Paul Welch talked with Proactive's Stephen Gunnion about the company’s strategy to scale up production and drive growth from its existing base of operations in East Texas and West Texas. Welch explained that Nostra Terra is currently focused on the Pine Mills field, a long-life, shallow onshore field with low operating costs and consistent profitability. “It's been an exciting field for the last 75 years and we expect it to be an exciting field for the program for the next 20 to 30 as well,” he said. Since taking over as CEO around nine months ago, Welch has led the company to profitability by cutting costs and increasing production. He highlighted two successful well workover programs that have effectively doubled production. A key highlight is the Fouke area, where new drilling, including the upcoming Fouke-3 well, could deliver significant volumes. Welch pointed out that these wells can initially produce around 120 barrels per day—compared to the average of 6 to 10 barrels from the Pine Mills wells. If enhanced recovery schemes are implemented, the output could potentially double. Welch reaffirmed the company’s ambitious growth target: “This is a company that's going to be making 5,000 barrels a day in the next 3 to 5 years.” The focus remains on building from a solid, profitable base, with production costs in the Fouke area as low as $3 to $4 per barrel, ensuring resilience across various oil price environments. Gaming Realms CEO on 2024 successes, Slingo growth and 2025 outlook

Gaming Realms PLC CEO Mark Segal takes Proactive's Stephen Gunnion through the company's strong 2024 financial performance and its ongoing international expansion. The company reported a year of strong growth, with revenue rising in both core content licensing and non-core social segments. Segal highlighted a “revenue increase, increase in our core content licensing business,” alongside gains in adjusted EBITDA and net profit, underlining operational leverage within the business. The company's flagship Slingo titles drove momentum, with 12 new releases in 2024 and North America contributing 54% of licensing revenue. “The cohorts of games we built in 2024 has probably been our highest-grossing sets of games in the first year,” said Segal. Gaming Realms is now live in five regulated U.S. states and recently launched in Brazil, aiming to deepen its presence in both. Segal also discussed the addition of third-party studio content, including Real Play, For The Player, and upcoming partner S Gaming, helping diversify offerings and penetrate high-barrier markets like the U.S. Cash generation remains strong, with a £13.5 million balance and a share buyback program underway.
