we gotta come up with a nick name for you...maybe spats?...cooks?..i feel funny using broke, broken, iykwim....

i don't see it as a head and shoulders, but the standard rule is the shorter the time frame for a given pattern, the less reliable it is...i am actually waiting for 78...that would support a lower trendline on the weekly AND fill that gap on the daily...VMW has been trading pretty sloppy lately and with other companies just now entering the virtualization arena, like microsoft, other new IPOs etc, i think we'll see some softness in VMW, at least that funnymental view suppports the TA...

just be sure to gauge the volume behind any upward movement, between now and then, you want to see commitment...their earnings are due the week of 1/28, so if it doesn't see 78 before then, then look for accumulation. my2bitz
