Of course she would have been. Cancer is, after all, a priority. The people who end up waiting are the ones who have non-life threatening conditions. Like a gall bladder that needs to be removed. And naturally anyone who can or wants to pay can go have the work done at a private clinic.
I lived in Italy for more than 20 years. By and large, the healthcare system works. And nobody gets bankrupted in the process.
Our healthcare system has failed. It's just too damned expensive. Treatment should be a right, not a privilege. ___________________________________ England's health care system is bankrupting England...500mm pound deficit...The country is trying to unwind it. Meanwhile, there are 90-day waits for cancer patients to get chemo, and anything less has longer waits.
