Didn't you play around w/that one a month or so back (maybe longer) & it did pretty much the exact opposite of what you were thinking...& thus shelved the idea at the time?

Have ya re-worked & tweaked things a bit & now makin another go @ it?

Only reason I ask is cuz I do think u r on to somethin w/it. My strat is kinda similar tho not as discipline....I give myself more wiggle room & typically lower my exit points after entering into a position....& so far I'm happy w/the results. But note that I first use this very basic filter.....

long gold & short the greenback w/3 pairs...aud/usd, usd/chf & gold. Can't recall the last time I traded outside of these 3 pairs. I've found that trying to buck the genl trend is not worth it & for the most part, by being discipline w/this very basic filter I've found that I'm tpyically (over 90% of the time) able to get in & out of my positions w/in a few hrs...maybe have to hold 4 hrs at the most.

If I go against this filter then I find that I have to typially hold much longer...so I don't even bother unless it's just to good to pass up.

Pls keep us posted as to your progress w/it.

TIA Cap.
