GK, I believe that I said that tax loss selling does "not come close to explaining all of this away", though it may play a part. As for the trading volume our volume is about 4 times the avg trading volume and each of these down days are on much higher volume than usual. If you look back at December 06 the share price started to slide then, yet people were sitting on gains. Do we want to suggest that people were anxious to get in on their profit taking before the new year? Obviosly not. Tax consequences can play a part in people's decision making process but it can be used as a crutch as well(as I believe it is being used here). The share price may or may not rebound in January but those selling now are doing so (i) because they fundamentally do not believe this is a good investment at this time and at this price and (ii) if you are going to sell you might as well do it now as opposed to January to take advantage of the losses for tax purposes rather than put them off unnecessarily till 09.

Having said all of that if you believe in this company and believe in its potential you do not sell anyway because of tax consequences.

Hopefully those selling will rue the day and perhaps some big sale is around the corner. Having said that, that corner has been empty for a long time now.
