No they don't charge 5%. What they do is have poor pinky execution which, in the long run, will cost you 5%. Example, I had a sell on a pinkie at .04. The bid was .045. The ask was .05. But it never executed, and ETrade and Ameritrade didn't budge of asks of .055 and .06 even though my order was .04. They were looking to sell at .06 then clear mine at .04 and take my profit. It's crappy execution, that's all. If you trade alot, you'll see.
