you apply for amex, and show what you are made of and what you are going to do. as well as financials. it can take anywhere from 2 to 6 mos to get approval, which means you have time to get the price up thru announcements, jv's, partnerships, new producst, infocommercials etc. i believe you have to get the price up and keep it there for a certain lenght of time, like 30 days. it is common practice to show your cards in your application and the the clocks starts. it would be easier if they were already at 2 or better and who knows, they might be. time frames seems to be fuzzy still.
