IRS is after the price manipulators who gain a million dollars a year and haven't paid their tax to Uncle Sam for years and years.

Yes the OS is greater as are the shareholders of record --- from some 1200 in 2000 to over 15,000 now.

As NMC stated in their proxy the cost, length of time and uncertain chance of recovery against the manipulators was not worth the effort, which was better spent in soliciting buyers. Also, from my point of view, even gaining injunctions agaist the 'sueable' was not worth the effort as they blatantly disregard the court orders with no reprecussions as happened with the prior injunctions the company obtained against them in 1999.

Granted, NMC paid for some services like the geophysical survey with a private placement of stock, but all of that is already absorbed in the market, so all that's left is the longs and the small amount of authorized preferred stock. Both lead to better stock prices and the chance for a good return to long-time loyal shareholders.
