Claire, it's waytoo late for me to be to be posting. Went back down stairs to work on my my nails and realised that I had failed to respond to your earlier post as to what developing nations thought about the Florida electoral situation.
Again I should have been asleep hours ago but in respect to you I will make a few brief points.
Re: Our Governor's perspective, What an impossible situation he must find himself in... The state he governs is in chaos because of the situation... He has recused hisself which was the right thing to do given the circumstances.However, as a citizen of this state I find it tragic that our governor's hands are tied. I wish he were more enabled to take a leadership role in this matter. Reguarding the minority issues, I find it appalling that someone like J.C Watts, U.S. republican rep from OK or Armstrong Williams among others are attacked by the "left" as being "sell outs" because of their veiws.
If I were a retiree or a minority I would it be REALLY OFFENDED that the left was saying I was more stupid than the rest of the population and was incapable of casting my vote in the manner in which I intended. JMHO BdM
