Considering that Socket939 and SocketAM2 are two different standards, I'd say the answer is no.

If it doesn't complete the memory check, I'd suspect that they memory has a problem. The other possibility is the processor itself. I suppose it might be a case where the power supply or the voltage regulators are faulty, but I'd suspect the memory.
