Power brokers

Peter and Justin Collorafi of Revenge Designs in Decatur, Ill., brought their exclusive creation built off of a 2006 Pontiac GTO.

Peter founded Revenge Designs in Australia and moved to Decatur three years ago to set up shop in America.

Today, the father and son team employs 10 technicians that work with precision accuracy to transform a General Motors' GTO, Hummer SUV or Pontiac Solstice into a uniquely shaped vehicle that stands out among the brands' stock-built brethren.

"Our faculty is very much like a medical clinic," Collorafi said. "We take the utmost care of a client' s car to ensure exacting fit and finish of our coachwork."

Revenge Designs offers two aggressive packages for the GTO model.

The Revenge Edition, priced at $13,000, widens the car by four inches. It includes a motorsport-style front and rear fascia, Corsa exhaust, Pirelli performance tires and specially designed 20-inch wheels. Uniquely styled side mirrors house the turn signals.

Buying the John Lingenfelter Signature Series adds $10,000 to the Revenge Edition with power supplied by Lingenfelter Performance Engineering.

The standard 400-horsepower GTO engine receives a cold-air induction system and Magnuson supercharger that raises the engine output to 530 horsepower. A short-throw shifter aids the 6-speed manual gearbox while larger brakes help rein the power.

Every Revenge Designs vehicle carries a special serial number to enhance its collectible status.
