Thanks, See. I'd have to do a lot more reserach before jumping in here, but while Brazil and Argentina have had financial problems in the past, they are still waaaaay cheap, produce lots of commodities, and, quite frankly, the future looks brighter for them than it currently does for the good ole USofA.

Costa Rica and/or Panama are, IMO, retirement communities, not investment opportunities or safe havens for cash, and have you forgotten a while back when Mexico took back homes that Americans had bought and paid for and gave the owners no cash remuneration? Again, I don't consider Mexico a smart investment choice. No, I'll have to keep on looking, something will turn up. . .
