yep... bartering / trading / stock... can be a well intentioned concept of doing business... some parties do it to save cash (usually the startup)... some parties do it for the chance at a bigger than going rate pay day (usually the vendor, supplier)... but it's a gamble isn't it... that doesn't allow one party or the other to claim they'd been taken advantage of after the fact.

this is not directed toward anyone in particular <cough>... but in general like the race car deal... their deal was worth X... and after the year apparently the stock was worth significantly less... oh well sh*t happens. Nobody would have complained if it had gone up.
