By your logic they could be bought right now for pennies on the dollar. IPOs or startup companies won't sell a two dollars stock for two cents, they establish themselves and then they expand.
The merger has just been completed and has large plans for the future, acquisitions, controlled partnerships, expansions/so when I say that this board of directors would likely not sell, its because they don't have to. There's always that option, I just don't see this board of directors going in that direction. But if Microsoft offered to buy them/which is unlikely/or IBM made them a good offer/anything can happen. But I believe that to be speculation beyond any reality at this point. JMHO Val
