this whole freeze the rate plan sounds like one of those things that's going to lead to disaster...

I haven't delved too deeply but it seems that if all you need to be is in 'trouble' to get a freeze -- how many millions of homeowners that are on the edge will now have the incentive to start missing payments. As soon as you get a 'freeze' you lock in a super-low rate and can keep making payments again...

doesn't make sense to me
