What difference does it make what the NIE reported last year?

What do you mean what difference does it make? Wouldn't it be nice to know which intelligence was accurate? Wouldn't it be nice to know that we are even capable of obtaining accurate intel? You and the Libs only care about Bush bashing, that we know. But to those of us who actually care about what's going on in the world, I would be very interested in knowing why these assesments were so different and why we're sure this one is correct. It also would be prudent to discuss why Iran stopped its weapons program in 2003. God forbid it should be because, like Libya, they were fearful of a U.S. reprisal. That can't be right because it would mean we did somehting positive in the Mid East. Can't have (or admit) to that now.
