Fred:

I remember when TMTA announced when they were going public. I was on Panama City beach on a hot day. Man it was nice.

I believe I was watching CNET over there and they announced TMTA was going public. And went over the details of the company. The name always stuck in my mind because it was cool and they said they were doing something revolutionary with semis. I didn't catch all of them but I do know they are competitor with Intel/AMD, in some fashion.

So what exactly is the difference between them? Price? Structure? Compatibility.

I'm curious, because I have a hardware-based project I am going to develop this summer, with Linux. And I'll be building a customized box (not a computer, thought, but same components) and obviously need a processor. So checking out the various options. Intel and AMD are so standard, I'd like to try something different, pending of course it's what I need.

Furthermore, I assume TMTA *has* to be compatible with Linux, considering Linus Torvalds sits on the BoD of TMTA.
