OK, good luck. I am partial to certifications. I have certifications from IBM (DB2), Oracle, Teradata and Microsoft. I am a pretty good test taker though.
I haven't taken many tests at brainbench.com, but they are also pretty good because they are open book. In real life, you can look up something when you have a question. You are not forced to memorize the answer to every piece of trivia before starting your work day. On the other hand, brainbench may not be as respected. I think they have an ABAP exam out there you can take.
As an aside, people have asked me which test was the hardest of all tests I have taken. Some guess the Mensa exam but actually that was pretty easy (they get you with the number of questions, not the complexity). The hardest exam I have ever taken was the bar exam. There were two right answers for every question. LOL. Luckily, I passed. That was 15 years ago.
No test can replicate real life, but if you have no or little experience and you want to compete with others, it could be a factor.
