MANY years ago, I worked for a natural gas utility as a laborer. They had a backhoe operator who was absolutely amazing. He could take that powerful machine, dig down to a gas line, clean it off and never even scratch the line. As a laborer, I was amazed and appreciative. His skill resulted in a LOT less shovel work for me! I'll never forget that guy (he was one he!! of a character, to boot).
re: road courses
My favorite, too. I practically grew up at the road course in Summit Point, WVa. Although not a powerful car, I loved to watch the Mini Coopers race. Now that they are back in production, I've fantasized that that could be an inexpensive (yeah right, inexpensive racing!) way to get novice stripes and back on the course.
