It's not hard but it's not always simple, either. If you want to flip a stock like SHCM, there are a couple of things you need to have, though.

1-Get signed up with a site that gives you a good L2 screen. I use quotestream.com (as recommended by IHUB) and I really like it. It provides L2 in real-time, news streamer, chart, and portfolio tracker...all web-based so there's no software to install.

2-Get signed up with a charting site like stockcharts.com. That way you can watch the action as it unfolds in real-time instead of having to depend on 15-minute delayed charts.

I believe it was GAK13 that basically said "go to chart school". This was also the same advice another friend of mine on these boards gave me. Learn to read charts and you will be much better off.

Now that you have the tools, you need to play on paper for a while before you actually begin buying stocks like SHCM to make sure you have the process down pat.

Basically, on a stock like SHCM that has been in a down trend, you buy at the lower levels that have been coming in the afternoons and sell at the high point rally either at end of day or beginning of the morning. Keep doing that and you will support the stock from both ends and increase your shares exponentially. Try to always buy at the ask and, when the time comes to sell, try to always sell at the ask. This is just common courtesy and it helps the stock maintain it's current pps (price per share).

It takes practice, time, and a LOT of research into reading charts to do it well. I'm still learning. Redsoxnumba1 is one of the best chartists I know so I rely on his board a lot.

I'm still in the early stages myself but I'm getting better as I go.
