The key word is particpating in show that can mean standing around and trying to grap possible prospects to sell too.
That does not mean presenting. Most major conferences you present a paper as a speaker. The technology must not be that good if they are not presenting a paper in front of the conference. So how are they going to get the word out by graping people between the talks to present the technology???
