I opened an account with Questrade here in Canada, and recommended it to others on the board, but it turns out they needed to have a Canadian residence to open an account.

You don't have to be a citizen of the country, but you do need to have a residence, apparently...

That's what I was told anyway, which was a bummer, because I thought this platform was good, and I wanted people to be able to use it

Not all countries are that strict
