I was told by another frequent poster that he had heard from the horse's mouth that the first season was 'in the bag' with an option for the second season. I then, with those disclaimers posted the info on this board.

I then read Randy's blog stating that the series was indeed NOT sold yet, and Wilf confirmed it in an post on the All Deep Blue board. I felt since I posted the first rumor that I should update it with the facts as I knew them at the moment.

There may indeed be a series announcement this weekend, but I personally moved from nearly positive that it was going to happen to doubtful just based on the wording from Randy and Wilf. True it may be a screen to try to take back info that was leaked early, but then I think they would have said something a little less definitive like 'not quite complete' or 'contracts have not been signed yet'.
