Preferred stocks, Money Markets, CDs..
Guaranteed return, and the cash available to get some cornerstone stocks (with nice dividends) on the cheap..

I did this move for 16 years and did very well.
Then, I loaded the boat on COR and lost almost everything I gained over those years.. ;)

My plan would have worked great if only I stuck to it..
If you have a nice nest egg and haven't had it gutted by a COR-like stock, the aforementioned plan will make you a nice return..

**If only I could take advantage of this plan..
-In times when the market has made you a nice profit, don't get greedy.. take your money off the table, put it in a guaranteed return, and then buy bargains like a kid in the candy store once the DOW hits 12,000... It may not be as exciting as taking some chances, but, it'll ensure you retire in style..

Learn from my mistakes.. at least someone should beneift from them ;)
