Yahoo! Warns Customers of Fraud By Becky Worley, Tech Live
Yahoo! is advising its paying customers, via email, not to respond to another email they may have received recently as part of a scam to obtain their credit card numbers. The fraudulent email was sent by an unaffiliated third party posing as Yahoo. According to a company spokeswoman, some customers fell for the fake email and submitted credit card information. Others didn't fall for the trick, she said.
