interesting article...a few things that bug me:
" Triangle paid a film crew $5,000 to shoot the footage and will negotiate further once shooting is complete.

I know this business. $5000 is peanuts for a film crew (and for someone with Mr. Torres apparent experience and qualifications. And it's even harder for me to imaging paying a company to go out and shoot without having a contract to EDIT it. Granted, a small, one man crew with a DV camera (or MAYBE a Digibeta) could shoot for a few days for that...if they're slow and need the work....

I read this as "here's a little money to go shoot a bunch of interviews with gay people who just got married". If we like what you shoot, we'll figure out if we have the money to edit it all together into a show". Seems bizzare to me. Then again..god knows I've done MY fare of pro-bono/low cost documentaries for non-profits, etc..in my day....

also:
Triangle Multi-Media President Frank Olsen said he hopes to have a 24-hour transmission of sample programming available by May 1 and distributed by satellite and to theaters and hotel conference rooms. The documentary would kick off programming.[i/]

"hopes"???? bad choice of wording. Ya'd think after all this time there would be a stockpile of programming in the wings already..But...sure...why not a timely documentary to get things started.

and finally"
Keith Cocozza, director of corporate communications for Time Warner Cable, said the agreement has been in place since last year, but it’s up to each market division to decide whether to air the channel.

well...now we have a NAME at TW....but..if the agreement's been in place since last year...why no launch last year???

and..looks like the market this am isn't likiing Willy dumping his shares..low of .0013 so far....what the hell...I'lll put a bid ito buy in at .0009 and see if it fills in a few days....sigh.
