Our recent exchange, Bayfisherii, sparked my curiosity about GoG oil reserves, as compared to Saudi Arabia's Gawar field - not the kind of facts I normally file away.

Just did a quick, completely unscientific and probably outdated "oil reserves" Google of six GoG countries, coming up with a total of nearly 61 billion barrels - the lower end of your Gawar (60b-70b) figure.

Nigeria - 35b
Angola - 20b
Gabon - 2.5b
Congo-B - 1.5b
E.Guinea - 1.28b
Cameroon - .40b Total 60.68 billion barrels

Here's hoping future JDZ and STP finds will help the GoG dwarf Gawar!
