At least one typo in that article: Newcastle is not an "Athlon 64 FX" processor.

What do you think about the 256K L2 claim? Bogus? Real?

If true, is it a smart move? It would add more differentiation between the FX and A64 on 939, probably a wise thing, while the FX can be the "triple cheeseburger" for benchmarks.

How small would the die be?

700K A64s + ?? Opterons in Q1 would be great news for earnings.
