You've got to be kidding! Are you serious? We bombed an empty terrorist camp in Afghanistan, a sovereign nation that never assented to this act of war. The bombing did nothing to avert the risks of terrorism.
The Sudanese attack is even more ludicrous. Another sovereign nation was attacked, an innocent pharmaceutical plant was destroyed, a plant that had no connection at all to Bin Laden. Untold numbers of Sudanese have died because of the subsequent lack of vaccines and drugs, not to mention the innocent Sudanese killed in the bombing. Again, the bombing did nothing to avert the risks of terrorism.
what did the clinton administration do to avert the risks of terrorism? Well, Madeline Albright did say they had weekly meetings concerning Bin Laden. Well, that's pretty darn effective, isn't it?
