I have been studying the charts on the message board and have a good understanding of them. I just have a question regarding the stochastics settings.

In the examples below Omni uses (66(5),3)
STOCKS THAT MAKE EXPLOSIVE MOVES in an overbought condition using STOCHASTICS. http://investorshub.com/boards/read_msg.asp?message_id=1805873

In the examples below Omni uses (14(5),3)
OMNI-BOTTOMS & PIVOT POINTS: http://investorshub.com/boards/read_msg.asp?message_id=1744896

Can anyone please explain the different settings, why does he use 14 on one and 66 on the other? How do you know when to use one or the other?

Thanks for your time.

Playing stocks is like crossing 16 lanes of heavy traffic during rush hour, if you're not extremely careful you are bound to be road pizza.
