GFP et al..
What the heck are you talking about??
You keep implying that buying shares is a "desperate" move?
You make it seem like someone is giving them the money to invest and they are betting on COR shares like buying a lottery ticket or throwing a hail mary..

"The situation is the same for Stoll and others at Cortex - most of their options are too far underwater to realistically ever be worth anything. Maybe they'll step up to the plate soon also, but their doing so will be as much out of desperation as out of any high level of confidence."

Wouldn't the more prudent move (if they thought COR was such a long shot) to either:
a) Not invest their cash in the market at all
b) Or invest in something that has much more potential than COR

It's not like the money they used to buy this stock is a free play at an online casino..

1)They had cash in the bank..
2) They decided to invest that hard earned cash in the stock market
3) They looked at all of the available options, including their own compnay who's stock had plummeted over the past few months
4) They made a free will decision to put money into COR over other investments..

How the hell is that a desperation move and not confidence in COR's long term prospects?

You are not making logical sense here.
